Last night's adventure!

Last night, I ventured over to the other side of Busan to see a dance concert that I had read about on a website about Busan events.   I ended up taking some pictures along the way of things I thought were worth sharing.

First of all, if anyone ever says they NEED a car in Busan, they obviously have never seen this picture!  Yes, that's bus after bus after bus.  Public transportation in Busan is so awesome and so cheap!

This is kind of random, but for all the detail lovers out there, these are the 2 designs of bricks that are used for almost all of the sidewalks in Busan.  There is absolutely no rhyme or reason to the way the are laid out, or the color patterns, and in this instance, they can butt right up to each other and it's just fine and dandy!  So random, huh?!

I came across this dad and daughter riding their scooter.  They were waiting to cross the street onto a 6 lane highway.  Notice she does not have a helmet!  How crazy huh?!

Check out this baby seat attached to the wall in a subway bathroom stall.  Now, I'm not a mom, so I don't know if you moms out there are thinking this is the greatest invention you've ever seen, but let me tell you... I would rather hold my baby then set them in that dirty thing!

Most of the subway station platforms are equipped with huge flat screen TV's for your enjoyment.  They are usually either playing advertisements or on a news channel, which unfortunately I can't read or understand.  Still cool though!

I always tell the moms in my parents class not to worry about whether their grammar is perfect when we are talking.  As long as they can communicate, I'm happy!  Although, when it's in print, it's another story!

Bouquets in Korea are super elaborate!  They have tissue paper, shiny bows, and lace, and are REALLY cheap!  This truck was parked outside the performance center.

It doesn't matter if you match in Korea.  It seems as if anything goes.  I wore a black dress with brown boots to work yesterday!  I couldn't believe I was mixing the dreaded brown and black, but I did it.  This girl was a perfect example.  The more color, the better.  And they never leave home without "a hair pin!" (preferably one with lots of bling!)

I finally arrived at the Cultural Center, where the dance performance was being held, and spotted this beautiful tree, overlooking the gloomy and overcast city.  I sat and stared at it for a little while, taking in it's beauty!

I didn't know much about the dance concert other than a picture that I saw on the website.  I was pleasantly surprised to see that it was a modern dance performance.  Nothing compared to SYTYCD, but entertaining none the less.

These pictures are blurry, because I couldn't use my flash... :(

This is 2 guys lifting each other.  I've never seen anything like it!

During the intermission, one of the girls working there came over to me and handed me a piece of paper and a pen and said, "Can we be friends?  I want your number."  How funny is that?  She is actually a university student and totally adorable. You never know when you're going to meet a new friend!
